Frequently Asked Questions

What is Pact?

Pact is foster and rescue management software for rescues, nonprofits, and foster programs. It ranks available fosters for each animal, drafts outreach messages, and tracks placements from intake to reunification or adoption.

Who is Pact for?

Foster coordinators — including programs that provide temporary care for pets whose owners are in treatment, a housing crisis, or another emergency.

How does foster matching work?

Pact filters out homes that aren't a fit for the animal, then ranks the remaining fosters by how well they match the animal's needs. Each match comes with a plain-English explanation you can review before reaching out.

How much does Pact cost?

Starter is $25 a month, Standard is $50 a month, and Pro is priced by arrangement. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial.

Can we import our existing fosters and animals?

Yes. Pact supports CSV import with smart column mapping. You don't need a third-party integration or a specific file format — upload your spreadsheet and Pact handles the rest.

Can we add multiple coordinators?

Yes. Invite teammates from your coordinator dashboard, each with their own login. Starter includes 1 coordinator, Standard includes 3, and Pro is unlimited.

Can we generate reports?

Yes. Standard and Pro plans include program reporting — animals in foster, active fosters, placements, and monthly trends — with PDF export.

Does Pact connect to Shelterluv?

Not today. You can import existing animal and foster records by CSV.
